Hi, I’m Kathryn, the baker behind Breezeway Bakes. Since I was a little girl, the kitchen has been my favorite place to wander, experiment, and whip up something sweet for the people around me. I was the kid who pulled every ingredient out of the cabinets just to see what might work together — and trust me, not everything did. I’d proudly hand out my creations anyway, good or questionable, usually tricking my brothers into being my taste‑testers. When something did turn out, that spark of joy stayed with me. It never left.
As I grew up, baking became the way I showed love. I baked for church events, school gatherings, friends, neighbors, and anyone who needed a little sugar in their life. The kitchen is where my mind settles and my heart feels steady. It’s where old family recipes bring back memories of the people who shaped me, and where new ideas come to life one small batch at a time.
There’s another side of me too — the quiet, introverted soul who feels most at home in the woods. I love wandering through the trees, hunting for mushrooms just to snap a picture, and chasing waterfalls like I’m back in the Pacific Northwest. Nature has always been my reset button, and that blend of PNW calm and Southern warmth is woven into everything I create.
Now I’m stepping fully into this next chapter: building a business where I can sell my baked goods, create content, help others chase their own dreams, and keep growing in every way I can. I want to provide for my family, travel, and spread a little joy — one treat, one story, one sweet moment at a time.
